My kids and Husband are all really into superheroes, and we have been long awaiting the release of Marvel's The Avengers on Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack! How thrilled we were when Tuesday, September 25th finally rolled around so we could head straight to Walmart to pick it up!
Why Walmart, you ask? Well for a VERY good (and specific) reason -- Walmart has an exclusive 100-page graphic novel that is included with the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack! Totally awesome!
While we were there we decided to take a trip around the store because we'd noticed that the Walmart weekly advertisement had a map of the store that highlighted areas that were Avenger-specific. Come to find out there is an awesome Marvel Avenger app called "Super Hero AR" {available from iTunes and the Play Store} where you can test your super-hero skills and unlock characters through challenges.
We "scavenged" around Walmart looking for trigger points to unlock the app and we also noticed lots of great Avengers themed items.
My Son has already been asking for all of the electronic superheroes and already has Iron Man and Hulk. He asks me just about every visit to the store if he can have Captain America and Thor for his "birthday". So of course we had to check out the toys :

All of the crime-fighting (a.k.a. shopping) had worked up our appetite! It is a good thing that we could AVENGE our hunger with a HULK-sized Marketside Pizza!
We also picked up lots (and lots) of candy to go along with our movie night! All-in all we had a great time and can't wait to watch the Avengers over and over. (See my Google+ Story)
