..

The Frederik Meiijer Gardens 'Butterflies Are Blooming' exhibit first began in 1995 and is open every year, March 1st through April 30th. It is the largest temporary butterfly exhibit in the United States with more than 6,000 tropical butterflies from Central and South America and Asia on display in the Lena Meijer Conservatory.

The Butterflies are Blooming attraction is Meijer Gardens' largest exhibit with more than 150,000 visitors annually.

Have you visited the Meijer Garden's Butterfly Exhibit? We have gone each year with our children and it is a wonderful, educational visit for people of all ages. Plus, you also get access to the outdoor space which on a nice day is great for a long walk to see all of the great sculptures.

This unique family experience revolves around the enchanted world of plants, gardens, sculpture and nature through creative interactive areas encompassing 5 acres.Woodland tree houses and a log cabin, an interactive water garden, a butterfly maze, sensory garden and much more, is featured within the most enchanting children’s gardens in the Midwest.
